'The Apocalypse From Your Bedroom Tour'  re-contextualizes 'The Apocalypse In Your Bedroom Tour' black-box style theatrical spectacle , dirty diary written quasi-rock opera, into a site-specific live stream performance from within my bedroom.

In the original show my character retreats in self-isolation as a retaliation from the prospect of being hurt by others, before resolving for collective healing as a more valuable way to live. However, in the midst of the consequences of this externally imposed isolation (due to COVID19) it’s more prescient to tackle how it feels being cut off from the prospective presence of love by others.

In this live-streamed theatrical event my character is confronted with the consequences of this externally imposed isolation by the little voices inside their head, imbued in the mundane household objects populating their bedroom. Through questioning of these trials and tribulations of this dark night of the soul, my character resolves to hold out hope for reunion with others outside their bedroom post-isolation, rather than succumb to the loneliness.

Shadow puppets, flashlight projections, live music, gestural choreography, and poetic monologues transform the walls of my bedroom into a site-specific illustration of wrestling with the conflicted perspectives of an inner dialogue, and the ways one’s psyche decides to dress up to make it’s point.
